NRDF attends World Symposium on Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Strategies to Costal Communities in Apia, Samoa.

From 3 to 7 July Stephen Suti and Wilko Bosma represented NRDF at the 2017 World Symposium on Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Strategies to Costal Communities in Apia, Samoa. Participants from many Pacific Nations (and some from Europe) presented their programmes and case studies, explaining the impacts of climate change on coastal communities and show casting some of the practices implemented to address the problems experienced. The symposium was organized in combination with the regional workshop for grantees of the USAID Pacific USAID Pacific-American Climate Fund (PACAM). During this workshop grantees from all over the Pacific (photo) shared their best practices on climate change adaptation and agreed to strengthen collaboration between the partners. Both the symposium and the workshop were very helpful for NRDF to renew its focus on climate change issues within the project areas and it’s Forest for Life programme.
